End of Summer, Beginning of Winter

Thank You for a Great 2025 Summer CSA Share!

ICF staff thank you for all of your support through our 2025 summer season.  After two flood-impacted summers in 2023 and 2024, we are grateful for your continued support in 2025.  Thankfully, our 2025 summer share was bountiful, and featured a wide range of vegetables in abundance.  Preliminary estimates are that the value of vegetables distributed was about 50% more than the price paid for the share.  More on that in a future newsletter.  Most of all, Intervale Community Farm is here to serve you, and we are happy that we are able to deliver great vegetables, at a good price, in a way that brings joy to many.  See you next year!

Support Jamaican Farmworkers

Our hearts go out to many of our farmer neighbors from Jamaica whose homes, farms, and livelihoods were decimated by hurricane Melissa.  Many of these farmers have been working in Vermont’s orchards and vegetable farms for decades, and are the backbone of many Vermont farms.  To help with the cost of rebuilding, orchards and vegetable farms around the state have started GoFundMe campaigns to help their employees rebuild their homes and lives; here are links to a few in our area:

Winter Shares Full for 2025-2026

Thanks to all of our winter share members for signing up and starting out on our 2025-2026 winter share.  We sold out and do not expect to have additional spots, but please contact Kathie if you would like to be on a waiting list.  We are workshopping the notion of a 6-8 week share in March and April primarily focused on greens from our spring tunnels; keep an eye out for more information as we work our way through the winter months.

Congratulations Intervale Community Farm Board Members!

Our Intervale Community Farm Cooperative members re-elected Pamela Kraynak and Maja Smith, and elected Janet Arnold to 3-year terms on the ICF Board of Directors.  Thank you Pamela, Maja, and Janet for your willingness to help guide ICF into the future!
