Bread, Eggs, Goat cheese, Mushrooms, and Meat
The Intervale Community Farm works with other local food producers to offer their products to the farm membership. Farm members can purchase a season’s worth of bread, eggs or goat cheese, and pick up these items weekly along with their CSA vegetable share. These products are also available in limited quantities for sale at each pick-up.
This year’s partner producers are:
Bread
Trent’s Bread is a non-organic, wood-fired, French country levain bread of wheat flour, water, rye berries, and sea salt. Summer shares will be 16 loaves, one loaf per week, for $128. Single loaves, when available, are $8.
Eggs
We are pleased to be able to offer eggs from Savage Gardens in North Hero. Savage Gardens has been producing eggs since 2007. Their hens get to roam on pastures when the weather warms up and get cozy in their coops in the wintertime. Their hens are fed a non-GMO feed from a local feed mill. Weekly egg shares are available for $126. Single cartons, when available, are $6.
Organic Goat Cheese
Certified-organic goat cheeses from Does’ Leap Farm in East Fairfield. Since 2000, Does’ Leap has provided ICF members a rotating selection of several fresh goat cheeses: chevre, feta, caprella (camembert family soft cheese.) Summer shares may be ordered in advance, $189 for 21 pick-ups or every other week (11 pick-ups) for $99. Winter shares are every other week, 13 pick-ups. Single pieces, when available, are $9.
Organic Specialty Mushrooms- NEW!!
ICF is excited to offer fresh, certified-organic specialty mushrooms from Funj Shrooming in South Burlington. Funj offers several mushrooms that will rotate weekly. Add-on summer shares for a weekly 5.5 oz box of mushrooms are $147 (21 pick-ups) or every other week (11 pick-ups) for $77. Individual units are $7, when available.
